Disaster Management Program

About the Program

Our society has always had a practice of being ‘reactive’ one than being ‘proactive’. In essence, we have had a situation of blame games of who hasn’t done, expected to do, didn’t do, and so on. For these reasons; GLI brainstormed and came to the realization that equipping knowledge and skills would always offer solutions far above with a focus on product and service.

It is in these areas of thought that GLI engaged different agencies & stakeholders in brainstorming & capacity development and thus out of the courtesy of Bontana Hotel came the first multi-agencies in Nakuru in which all the disciplined resources (KDF, NYS, Regular Police, Traffic Police, Provincial Administration,  St. Johns Ambulance, HR experts, Insurers, Fire Department, Red Cross, KWS, Towing Company, PPF, etc). These were affected in a capacity building and drill at the PC’s Plenary Hall. Soon after there were a number of other effective capacity buildings with one such being hosted at the Nakuru Players Theatre.

Gaplink International (GLI), has an aim of bringing help and relief to the needy and less privileged in the society through their resources.
